Terms of Use
1. Who we are
This website and the LumVPN app are provided by LumVPN ("we", "us"). By using this website, or the app once it is available, you agree to these terms.
2. Who provides what
- We develop and provide the app and handle in-app purchases.
- The operator of LumSub provides the user accounts and the network service the app connects to. Your account and your use of that service are also subject to the operator's own terms, which you will be shown before you sign up.
3. Current status
The app isn't available yet. Features described on this website are plans and may change. This website doesn't sell subscriptions or take payments.
4. Accounts
You'll need an account to use the service. Please provide a working email address and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity under your account.
5. Purchases and renewals
Purchases in the app are made through the app store and are subject to that store's rules. Before you confirm a purchase, the app will show the price, billing period, allowance, device limit and renewal terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings. Any free trial will state its length and the date charging begins. Refund requests are handled by the app store under its rules.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with the laws that apply to you. You must not use it to:
- commit or help others commit fraud or any other unlawful act;
- send spam, spread malware, or attack or gain unauthorised access to any system or network;
- infringe the rights of others;
- resell or share the service without permission, or interfere with its operation.
Availability depends on your region. It is your responsibility to check that using a VPN is lawful where you are.
7. Limits of the service
Network services can be interrupted, and speeds vary. We don't promise a particular speed or uptime. Other online services have their own rules and regional limits. We can't guarantee access to any particular service, and you are responsible for following its terms. A VPN doesn't make you completely safe online; see the Privacy Policy for what is and isn't collected.
8. Suspension and ending use
If these terms are breached, access may be limited or ended, and we'll tell you the reason unless the law prevents us. You can stop using the app at any time, and you can delete your account from inside the app. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a store subscription; cancel it in your store account settings.
9. Software and content
The app and this website, including the LumVPN name and logo, belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app under these terms. Some components may be covered by open-source licences, which will be listed in the app.
10. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent the law allows, the website and the app are provided "as is", and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under mandatory consumer law.
11. Changes
If these terms change, we'll publish the new version here with its date, and tell app users about significant changes.
